Lin-Ni Liao

Description
fr

In a synesthesia of sound and light, Liao Lin-Ni translates, transcribes, and transmits poems, paintings, and phenomenon of nature through music.

Inspired by the book 'The Gorgeous nothings' (New York, Ed. Christine Burgin / New Directions, 2013) which contains the manuscript fragments of Emily Dickinson (1830-1886), Liao Lin-Ni continues her work in the spatialization of sound that she began in the ensemble piece 'Poussière dans le vent' (2014). Through the timbre of music, she finds and reveals the dimensions of light and shadow in Dickinson's world, defined by nature and the depth of human tenderness.
